In this same spirit, Daniela has been an avid tea drinker most of her life, always seeking out and sampling a wide variety of teas. While traveling back to Switzerland and to other parts of the world Daniela expanded her knowledge of tea and its many celebrated rituals.

After moving to the USA she was disappointed when it was difficult to find a store that offered her the choice of teas to which she had become accustomed. This led to the idea of opening a tea store where customers could buy a wide variety of teas and engage in a unique tea buying experience.

When she and her husband Anik moved to Mount Shasta, she tackled the project of opening her own tea store, giving rise to Sereni-tea.
